Department Head
Estelle Tan is a graduate of the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) with Vocal & Piano Performance major as her chosen forte. During her college term, she chaired MIA’s Music Society and accumulated along the way, well rounded leadership abilities in music.
In subsequent years, Estelle progressed on manage a Music Centre in Kota Bahru as their Principal for 8 years. Prior to that, she had been selected to perform vocally for the Chinese Association of Kota Bahru at state levels on numerous occasions, especially for their charity events.
Before relocating to Kuala Lumpur, Estelle was approached to judge almost every singing competition in the state, ranging across primary school levels to tertiary levels, informal contests (ie:Karoake and Senior Citizens) and formal (ie: Professional) singing competitions. This affirms her local standing as an established and well received singer.
The skills and knowledge gathered from her experiences has equipped her with the necessary expertise to educate children in music. Furthermore, Estelle is also well-versed in the techniques and principles of the Associated Board of the Royal School Of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity examinations, having inspired and guided many students to achieve outstanding awards under such challenging environments.
