The Sound Of Music

Music can dance and sing our blues away. It lets the child in us play, and the cowboy or cowgirl in us line dance. Music helps plants grow, drives our neighbours to distraction, lulls children to sleep, and marches men to war.
In recent decade, an enormous amount of research has been conducted on the specific ways in which sound, rhythm, and music can improve our lives. Children who receive regular music instruction; and those who sing or play an instruments are known to have a higher spatial awarenes and intellegence thus improving their concentration and speech abilities.
By learning to recognize and consciously implement the power of music in your child’s life, you can:
- Provide patterns of sound on which he can build his understanding of the physical world.
- Reduce his/her level of emotional stress or physical pain.
- Enhance his/her motor development, including the grace and ease with which he learn to walk, skip and run.

Yet the evidence is indisputable. There’s far more to good music than meets the ear. Wisely used, it can create a healthy and stimulating sound world for your family and profoundly enhance your child’s growth.
